The weiqi finally arrived to my house few days ago, anyway today I will post 2 thread on my blog. One is the weiqi, and one is the Dragon King match that launched on 3 April

Finally the stuff I ordered from China arrive at my house. Besides, I still got two more carriage of stuff will be arrive next week. That content 3 sets of Igo. Another one content 10 sets of shogi and some other shogi books. The mouse pad display in the China Taobao website for a long time, looks like no one to buy it. So I just bought it anyway since I bought a lot of shogi stuff from the seller. The seller sells a lot of shogi stuff. I always buy stuff from him.

I spent one night time to design the kifu form, use the microsoft excel to design it. It come out as good as I like it. I simplified some of the detail, so it won't look so complicated to others. I will use it in the shogi event I directed on 3 April.

Finally, DRAGON KING SHOGI TROPHY has been made~~~!!!

Finally, the trophy I order to make had reach my hand. Very happy with this trophy, as the plate stated, it is my university match closed Summer 2010. I will try to make a whole Malaysia shogi tournament in the future after this match finish.

6 Match 2010, 934am, on the way to Kuala Lumpur with Transnational Bus. A long way come to the Sungai Wang to search for the shogi at Daiso, unfortunately that there is no selling shogi at all. Now bringing the disappointed mood to the taiwan food restaurant and there is no wireless here. The luck is very bad so far, after the meal, we shall go to the Mid Valley for the shogi and weiqi class.

When we having a ride on monorail after the lunch, we are going to the wrong way for about 2 stations, we going back to the KL Sentral station. Then we go to take the KTM trains, unfortunately the KTM delay for about 10 minutes. And finally we reach the Japan Club KL.

When we reach the Japan Club, in the shogi room, there are only 4 peoples playing the go, then we stand there and watch them playing. After a few moments, 3 more peoples come and 2 of them start to play. After that, ryou and xinwen finally show up. Then xinwen teach bih chien and yaohong weiqi, Ryou and me play shogi.

Ryou teach me alot of techniques that very useful to me. I learn a lot of things. Specially a test on my shogi style and other kind of strategies.
Besides that, my friends learn Igo from the Xinwen senior.

Af ter the activity finish, we go to the japan club restaurant to have our dinner, i call a yakisoba dinner set. The food here are so delicious, since the last time i come to eat, now finally i able to eat it again.

After the dinner, we have a walk around the Japan Club KL. Pay a visit to some shops. Then I buy a mini shogi set that cost RM7. The mini shogi set will keep as my collection.

Then, we back to the pudu raya bus station, but unfortunately all the tickets to melaka had sold out. Then I call Zhi Yi to help us to book a hotel room for us, as so now we got a place to sleep. The hotel is The Chan's Inn. The hotel room cost us RM70 a night.

The second day.
730 in the morning, alarm ringing. We all ready up and go for our breakfast, bah kut teh beside the Inn that we live in yesterday night. Then we call a taxi to go to curve.
The curve are so big, and there is even a second building for younger generation with cinema on the highest floor.

945 in the morning, the curve still sleeping before wakeup for its busy day. We all gather at the mcdonald to have some coffee and icecream, and so here i am stoping the diary for a few moments.

When 10am, we go and visit the whole curve building. Then we looking for Daiso the biggest branch in Malaysia. But unfortunately we still can't find any shogi set.
After that, we go into a big IT shop to searching for any cheap computer stuff, i didn't buy anything anyway. Then we go to the IKATO the next building beside curve, saw the biggest pet shop in Malaysia, and also should be the biggest popular bookshop in Malaysia.

Around 12pm, we take a taxi to sunway pyramid. In sunway pyramid, we looking for game centre but unfortunately it bankrupt already.
Then we go ice skating during 3pm, well this is my first time to play ice skating. I make a perfect record, without falling down. But that cost me a next whole day of leg aching.

Till 6pm, we take taxi to kelana jaya LRT station to go pasar seni, then taking a bus at 730pm and back to Malacca.

Proposal for shogi match!!!

I am in progressing a shogi match proposal in my university.
The title will be:

MMU DRAGON KING TITLE SHOGI MATCH CLOSED SUMMER SESSION 2010

The winner of Dragon King title will be rewarded a pretty trophy and cash RM50, the runner-up will get RM10.
The match date is around 3 April Saturday.

So far, I was trying to make it open for outsiders. But due to the limited of time around one month only, I am unable to make it as OPEN due to shortage of time as the official tournament need at least 6 months to announce.

As if I am able to make it for open match, I need sponsorship from the outsider. The only sponsorship I able to found should only be Japan Club KL shogi department. Well, actually I not sure that whether Japan Club shogi department will approve us to make an open shogi match. It seems like it is better that they held the events.

Well, I don't have any experience on organizing big event. So I am trying to make a small match first in my own university, maybe it can be consider as the FIRST shogi match in Malaysia except the Japan Club KL. Besides that, I also want to see how is the result after I promoting the shogi for more than half year. How many peoples are always playing and how many people already know how to play.

I wish that Ryou Takehito will be my arbiter for this event. But if the open match is launched for next semester. Ryou will be in Japan for further study during June.

However I will go training next semester, as my vice president told me that I still can be the director of any event. So maybe I can still make the shogi match open to be a success next semester.

The really big package finally reach Malaysia this morning 11am. So happy about it ^_^.
All the stuff I order is 4 sets of cheap shogi, 6 pieces of shogi chessboard cloth, 6 pieces of shogi pretty bag and also a big set of GO with wooden board.

There are 4 shogi set available to sell, which I will sell to 4 peoples in the club. I have a cleaning up on my own GO stone one by one. After the cleaning up, the stone is completely clean and shiny, so happy to see that ^_^

Update again~~~

A few weeks after my last update. Currently I am practicing various kind of chess to improve all my chess skill. Following is the chess I am playing currently:

- Igo (Well, this is not chess lol)

- Chinese chess
- New Chinese Chess
- 5 in a row

I know it is very hard to master all kind of chess. At least I am interest to improve various chess skill.

This Sunday will be my sister's wedding. So happy that sister finally married, hope she will be happiness forever. ^_^

Such a long time no update lol

Wow, it has been a long time that I never update my blog. Due to there isn't much event about the shogi and also my chess club activity. But today is my chess club first weekly activity in this semester, anyway I attend the chess club activity. However the number of peoples are quite less, I play some GO with a friend. Currently I am also learning GO, as GO is my second training chess that I still a beginner. Besides that, now I also got helping translation of the shogi video that belong to HIDETCHI san, you can view the shogi video that made by HIDETCHI to improve your shogi skill. Other than that, this semester I take 3 subjects and maybe I will be a little busy. That I will not take much attention on the shogi stuff.

In the whole event, there are only 8 Malaysian people. That is Ryou Takehito and his friend, Mr. Yeoh and his family, me and my friend.

Mr. Kenji Kobayashi play with 16 peoples in a row and all the game is finish in one hour, he only lose to 4 of them, and all the game is handicap game. He handicap 6 pieces to all children and about 2 pieces to all adult. I lose to him unfortunately, his combination of all pieces is perfect, it will be unable to win him if you are not going on for an defensive castle. I tell my friend to go for a defensive castle, then he able to stablise his king and Mr. K K resign. He is still an amazing professional player.

How old is Mr. K K in the picture? He is 52 years old. He look so young lol.

The only thing i quite regret is i forget to get the signature from him, lol.

After this event, I will start to train hard on my shogi skill, to be able to go into the world of professional shogi world.
